Dorset Playhouse
This visual presentation shows the renovation and building process of the Dorset Playhouse. The historic theater gets a 22,000 square foot addition and structural renovation to the existing building.
First, structural supports are added to support the historic building. The expansion includes theater space, dressing rooms, office space, common areas, and bathrooms.
In the new theater space, the stage has a curved front which is mirrored by the seating as it rises towards the back. The new construction gets barn siding, marrying the new with the old.
