About Aspen Vermont

Experience counts

There is more at stake for us than the practice of a trade. It’s how we make our contribution – the skills and knowledge we instill into each new addition to the landscape. We love to build. Our work is the sum of hundreds of decisions made in the field, in consultation with project partners and owners, and a million strokes of skilled hands set to each task.

Who we are

Michael LaCroix, Aspen Construction ServicesMichael LaCroix, Partner

A native of Bennington, Vermont, Michael built his first project in 1978 high school trades class – The Bennington Chamber of Commerce. After graduating, Michael went right into the trade – working in Florida on multi-unit residential projects, in California as a supervisor building resort homes in Lake Tahoe, then back to Vermont where he worked as a foreman and finish carpenter on residential and commercial projects in Burlington. In 1984, Michael moved to Boston with his partner and now wife Linda, and founded a design-build firm focusing mainly on major residential renovation projects in Boston and surrounding suburbs. Projects in Boston included custom homes, shopping malls, historic renovations, condominiums and brownstone renovations.

In 1991, Michael and Linda relocated back to Vermont, continued to build, and expanded their trade to include custom built furniture. Their furniture is placed all over the country and internationally, and this work has added to the depth and breadth of Aspen’s offerings to current clients.

Michael continues to head up the business, working in the field overseeing and managing each project. He has built up a tremendous repoire with all the trades, and is a strong advocate for the client. He works personally with each client to ensure that their project is a success. Michael also serves on the Stafford Technical School Advisory Committee, serving young students interested in a career in the building trades.
